Jodie Foster’s corrective surgery after shattering her knee in a skiing accident has got her up and about, and it’s thanks to a donor’s anterior cruciate ligament.
Jodie Foster is feeling super after surgery to correct her shattered knee with a little metal and a donor’s anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).
The Oscar winner has been hobbling around Hollywood for much of this year, even attending the Oscars in March (18) on crutches after a skiing accident left her unable to walk unaided.
Now using a pal’s cane to get around, Jodie appeared on late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, on Monday, to promote her new film Hotel Artemis (2018), and revealed she’s walking with the aid of someone else’s ACL.
I gotta little titanium, a little cadaver, just a combo… I kinda like it. Is that wrong?, Jodie said, adding she can’t wait to get back on the slopes and try out her new knee.
Asked if she knew who her dead donor was, Foster said: I’m not asking. I’m really gonna not ask.
