Verging on a superhero movie, actress Amandla Stenberg is sure this is a lot closer to home that Marvel's films.

Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, scripted by Chad Hodge and based on the book by Alexandra Bracken, The Darkest Minds (2018) is about a group of teens imprisoned by an adult world that now fears everyone under 18. These teens must form a resistance group to fight back and reclaim control of their future.
The 19-year-old star of the movie - Amandla Stenberg - thinks that this young adult movie is not a standard superhero flick. For her it is much deeper than that, and it represents a universal story about growing up.
